Adoption of HRIS in the Public Organizations: Institutional Logics Perspective

This study explored the adoption, benefits, and challenges of HRIS in a public organization Pakistan. Using case approach, qualitative data was collected through in-depth interviews at various levels hierarchy. The found that could not achieve benefits as established literature. adoption remained quite slow resulted parallel systems (manual automated) organization. In light institutional logics perspective, is struggling with contradictory pressures from new logic previous manual HR system, which costly for Out barriers identified, HRIS, most crucial are lack top management support less technical knowledge to use system. findings implied mere produce desired results until serious efforts were made its successful implementation.
